Description
The ILSS series is specially written to provide lower secondary science students with a solid foundation for learning science at a higher level. This series uses an inquiry, constructivist and interactive approach to help students acquire scientific concepts, skills, and processes. The ILSS workbooks are intended to be used together with the textbooks and aim to help students learn science actively and experientially. Activities in these workbooks are designed to encourage understanding the world around them through interesting hands-on activities that will develop essential thinking and process skills. Each activity is closely linked to the respective sections in the textbooks, thus encouraging students to apply their theoretical knowledge to practical situations. The revision worksheet provided at the end of each chapter serves as a formative assessment to help teachers evaluate students’ understanding of the chapter and also reinforces concepts that students have learned.
